The Bullfrog and His Shadows

One day a group of frogs held a council, they were concerned with the herons preying on them during the day and the raccoons at night. They decided that they should demand the herons leave the pond, banish them. All the commotion they were making drew a nearby heron. The heron was curious and pondered as to whom they were banishimg. The frogs looked at her long beak in fear of being stabbed and began to shout "Banish the raccoons!". The heron left. Now the frogs were stuck with the matter of who would inform the raccoons of their exile. As each frog was nominated they all turned down the post of sheriff. Finally, everyone nominated the bullfrog as for he was the largest. The bullfrog was skeptical and only would go if the other frogs stuck to him like his shadow, the frogs agreed. The sun set and the frogs awaited the arrival of the raccoons. Six raccoons came, the bullfrog hopped onto shore and shouted that they were banished. The raccoons didn't care, as the bullfrog looked back he realized he was alone just before he was eaten.
